Monica and James met online. Monica was ready to give up dating all together right before James messaged her. There was an instant and easy connection between the two and they quickly progressed from texting and calling to meeting in person for their first “non-first date”. They fell for each other quickly and knew that they would spend the rest of their lives together. The proposal consisted of balloons, lots of tears, and a “YES” from Monica.

The two tied the knot on November 17th, 2016, their three year anniversary. You can tell how crazy these two are about each other from their beautiful photos! Here are Monica's answers to our bridal questionnaire when asked about her wedding dress and her special day!

What is your favorite thing about your dress?

It made me feel like a princess! But, like, a very comfortable princess.

What was the highlight of choosing Rebecca's Wedding Boutique?

The amazing customer service! I shopped there three times before deciding on a gown, and the salespeople were always so friendly, patient, and helpful. The gown I chose was actually picked out by the woman who helped me. I would have never chosen it on my own.

What advice would give to brides currently looking for a gown?

Be PATIENT. The right gown will come, trust me. It took me three separate shopping trips with eight different groups of people to find my dress.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

We didn't have a big ceremony, it was just James and I and a photographer at the courthouse. After we got hitched, we spent the night at the Seelbach Hotel. We got there around 5 in the afternoon and just hung out, ordered room service, and spent time with each other. It was like the grown up version of having a sleepover with your best friend. That time we spent together was my favorite part.

How did your groom react when he saw you in your dress?

He didn't tear up or anything, but he had this big dopey, adorable grin on his face.

Were there any themes or specific styles for your wedding?

We went for more of a rustic-meets-old-hollywood-glam, which sounds like it wouldn't work, but it did!

If so, what was it that made you decide on that theme or style?

Its just very "us". We wanted a wedding that reflected who we are, not only as a couple, but as individuals.

What made you decide on your venue location(s)?

We had a reception-type party a few days after our wedding at Milkwood. It was the restaurant that James worked at when we first moved here, and we are friends with most of the staff. We love both the food and the atmosphere, so it just made sense!

Monica, you looked so stunning in your gown! We couldn't be more excited for you and your husband! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day in such a special way!
