Venue: Mint Springs Farm (Nolensville, TN)

Dress designer: Martina Liana

Kathleen and Aubrey met at a bar in Nashville while they were both in nursing school. Kathleen was about to graduate and didn't have any interest in a boyfriend but her friend said she was staring at Aubrey all night. After many attempts from her friend to get Kathleen to talk to him, her friend tracked him down in order to get him to introduce himself to her.

"She got the job done – he approached me, we officially met and the rest was history!"

On April 23rd, 2016, Kathleen and Aubrey tied the knot.

Here is what Kathleen had to say when asked about her special day!

What is your favorite thing about your dress?

Everything! The gorgeous lace, the intricate sleeves, the dramatic open back and dreamy train!

What was the highlight of choosing Rebecca's Wedding Boutique?

It was in Louisville, which is where most of my extended family is from so my only grandmother and two of my aunts were able to take part in the process!

What advice would give to brides currently looking for a gown?

Go with your gut! Try not to bring too many people with you. Results in too many opinions : )

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Now that’s a difficult question – because everything was perfect. Spending time with my fresh new husband taking portraits after the ceremony was pretty special.

How did your groom react when he saw you in your dress?

He looked stunned. Literally stunned…and then gave me a big big smile.

Were there any themes or specific styles for your wedding?

I guess you could say my theme was “rustic chic” I knew I wanted muted pastel colors with lots of greenery. I’ve always wanted a “barn” theme – but still wanted it to feel classy. Mint Springs Farm was a dream. It was an all inclusive venue and had all the things on my list. The bridal suite was gorgeous – spacious and accommodating for every need on your wedding day. My groom was sold on the grooms loft that included leather recliners and a pool table. The ceremony pavilion was something out of a magazine. Everything was perfect.
