Rebeccas Wedding Boutique has been in business since 1989. Owner, Rebecca Kimura, graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Criminology, but wasn't sure where it would take her in life. As she thought about her future, the glitz and glamour of weddings caught her attention. The rest is history!
Rebecca has built a close-knit family of friendly and knowledgeable consultants who strive to ensure that each bride's shopping experience is fun, memorable, and pressure free. Rebecca's is known for impeccable customer service, as well as participation in community outreach programs such as Brides Across America and Prom Project.
Jenny Sheehan
Product Manager
Jenny is full of spirit and energy! With Rebecca from the beginning, she has been the Product Manager since February 1990. She also works on the sales floor and in the pressing room preparing gowns for the bride's special day. Jenny's favorite part of her job is helping brides and working in the pressure free atmosphere.
Jenny truly believes that if a customer receives great service and feels comfortable with her consultant, she will become a loyal customer. In her spare time, Jenny likes to travel and lay by the pool!
Karen Wellinghurst
Rebecca's Black Tie Manager
Karen, the manager of Rebeccas Black Tie, has been with Rebeccas since 2003. Her friendly attitude and witty sense of humor create a inviting and laid back environment. In addition to her management position, Karen assists brides and grooms in picking out the men's attire. Karens favorite part of the job is picking out a tuxedo that makes the groom look drool worthy!
In her spare time Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children, attending sporting events and going to Churchill downs.
Her advice to the groom?
1. The wife is always right.
2. In the event the wife is wrong, see rule #1!
Marti Holnagel
Merchandising Manager
Marti, a well seasoned bridal consultant, has worked at Rebecca's since 2004. As a previous wedding planner, Marti has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to planning your big day. In addition to her management position, Marti loves assisting brides in finding a stunning wedding ensemble. Her upbeat personality will keep you smiling and relaxed.
In her spare time Marti enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, and designing and creating various artistic projects. Marti also consults with brides outside of Rebecca's as an invitation specialist. She uses her creativity to find each bride the perfect wedding day stationary. Her advice to every bride is to find the dress that makes you feel beautiful and confident. Your confidence and attitude will make you beautiful inside and out!
Zoë Davenport
Operations Manager
Zoe is a full time Marketing student at the University of Louisville. After living in the south (Texas) and the north (NYC) she has finally found a home in Louisville! Zoe has been a part of Rebeccas family since January 2007. In addition to her management position, Zoe works on the sales floor assisting brides and bridesmaids, and on multimedia networks such as Facebook. Zoe is full of life and uses her creativity to put together a unique look for each bride. "It is the finishing touches that make the dress your own signature look," says Zoe.
Zoe suggests to each bride to leave the entourage at home and bring only your mom and your best friend when shopping for your gown. In her spare time, Zoe teaches Zumba, enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and sorority sisters, singing, and traveling the world.
Sarah Hinds
Front Desk
Website and Advertising Design
From all over, Sarah claims San Antonio, Texas as home and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University. Sarah has worked in the bridal industry since 2006, and has been a team member of Rebecca's since August 2009. Sarah greets customers at the front desk and also designs the website and advertisements for Rebecca's. With a passion for photography, Sarah's favorite part of her job is seeing beautiful photographs from the bride's big day!
In addition to photography, Sarah enjoys traveling, seeing movies and musicals, and playing with her sweet dog, Casey. Her advice for brides is to elope! Forget the stress of a big affair, get a dress that makes you feel fabulous, and have an intimate ceremony with the one you love!
Megan Schmitt
Bridal and Bridesmaid Sales Associate
Born and raised in Louisville, Megan is kind hearted and always smiling. She is a full time college student at the University of Louisville, and hopes to one day become a wedding planner. Megan has worked at Rebecca's since March 2010 and makes the process of helping a bride find her dream gown fun and simple.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to church, working out, and traveling. Her advice to every bride would be to remember that at the end of the day, no matter what happens with your flowers, DJ, photographer, or cake, you are marrying the love of your life and have the rest of your life with that person to look forward to!
Mary Ruth Cherry
Mary Ruth is a true romantic and enjoys hearing the love stories of all her brides! She also has a great sense of fashion and will be sure to help you find your dream gown. She has been a bridal, bridesmaid, and mothers consultant at Rebecca's since January of 2011. Mary Ruth has great patience and an eye for the right dress for any bride no matter what her budget.
Mary Ruth was born in Detroit, Michigan, but has lived in Louisville most of her life. She enjoys foreign and period films, historical fiction novels and learning French. Mary Ruth recommends to every bride a headpiece to wear at the reception after taking off her veil!
Jennifer Wallace
Jennifer works full time as a nurse, but can't give up her part time sales position at Rebecca's! She has been a part of the team since 2003. Jennifer loves meeting brides and helping them find their gown and bridesmaids dresses. She is easy going and always smiling!
Originally from New Mexico, Jennifer now calls Louisville her home. She enjoys spending time with her family and fiancé, Mike. Jennifer's favorite part of her job is seeing the new bridal gowns! Her advice to every bride is to listen to your heart and it will guide you to your dream dress.
Chantelle Tickles
Bridesmaid Sales Associate
Chantelle is a full time Graduate Student at the University of Louisville. She began working at Rebecca's in June 2011. She loves meeting new people and being excited with the bride and her wedding party! This spunky consultant specializes in bridesmaid and mothers gowns and is sure to help you find the perfect ensemble for your big day!
Originally from Huntsville Alabama, Chantelle grew up in a large family with five sisters, including her twin! She enjoys dancing, spending time with her sorority sisters, and reading. Chantelle's advice to every bride is to follow her heart; your wedding happens just once in a lifetime!
Elena Dias
Elena began working at Rebecca's in August 2011. She is a full time student at the University of Louisville studying Arts Administration. During the week, Elena finds great joy in working with and mentoring special needs children. She is easy going and fun to be around. Elena works in the bridesmaid department and loves disccussing color schemes for a bride's big day!
Elena is a violist and plays in the University of Louisville orchestra. She has also played in quartets for weddings since high school. Her advice to every bride is to remember to have fun and don't sweat the small stuff!
